@matthewspassion I think it’s probably similar to in Japan or China, but the local SF scene is much smaller.

Once a student flipped the bird to a large audience in my Department and said, “Professor Gord said this means ‘to fucking’… So don’t do!”
@matthewspassion But SF conventions and social networks are less accessible, and it’s hard to be out of Anglosphere sometimes. Lose touch.
@matthewspassion Depends how you define “good place” — lots of story inspirations, and if you have a good job, lots of time off, etc.
