It’s almost certainly easier to buy into, “Ah, well, it’s inevitable, we’re all gonna catch it…” and then, like a cascade, you buy into the rest of the zero-mitigation ideas in a fell swoop. @mcjulie (Like, as with religion, people often internalize the rest of the packaged set of ideas that go with it: “indefinite measures” and “masks harm kids” and all the other nonsense. Justification and rage is WAY easier than admitting desperation/confusion.)
