@fosterempathy Maybe that’s a bit too bleak, but… well, I might feel differently if I could think of more than one case where speaking out and advocating for decency amounted to more than me talking pointlessly into a void and burning myself out for nothing. @fosterempathy The one case I do recall, a student jumped (?) out a dorm window to her death on the campus where I worked. Broad daylight, busy area, dozens saw it. University hushed it up at the request of the parent, supposedly a “respected donor” or something.
