@themarkrussell Around 2006 someone from the bank came to my school to offer foreign faculty credit cards. Prior to that, it was always no no no. I was soon after able to also get a Samsung card. There’s more rigmarole, though. You can’t apply at the little kiosks like at Costco, etc. @themarkrussell (When Costco switched to only accepting some other card a few years back, I made a half-hearted attempt to get whatever new card they’d switched to, hit a brick wall, and shrugged and abandoned the effort.)
