We watched the Muppet Movie to talk about kid-directed telegraphing of values of resistance and subversion of adult expectations, etc. @jeremiahtolbert @StaceyCKs1 Oddly, my students insisted that the message (esp. in the final song, “Don’t Stop Dreaming,” etc.) was directed at 100% adults and not kids, “because kids still know how to dream, while the process of high school & university renders adults unable to dream and hope.”
