@isasv Oh Shepherd’s a clown and I’m convinced she’s always been alt-right, not free-speech. The media handled that horribly, of course. They give way too much air time to ignoramuses. Any sensible academic could have easily explained why she fucked up in her TA job. @isasv (If you’re teaching grammar, then no, sharing debates over alternate pronouns is NOT anywhere near within your job description. You teach standards in academic writing, note what’s in transition, maybe note that this is contested, but you don’t present it as a political debate.)
