About that stupid article about keeping your shoes on in someone’s shoes-off home, that has now got half of Twitter talking like this is a universal, monolithic “white people thing”: yeah, not really. I grew up with shoes off at home. (No broken toes.) And yeah, of course you $@&%ing take your shoes off at the door if someone asks you to. Who refuses, let alone lectures them, when they’re in the position of being a guest in that person’s home? That’s just barbaric.
